André Uerba facilitates workshops addressed to professionals in the field of performing arts and to non-professionals. His workshops are created within an attempt of leveling the often unspoken power dynamics within the conventional structure between teacher and student. His focus is to design a horizontal space for the sharing of knowledge. He works from a zone of connection and curiosity and invites all what makes who we are to the creative space (the studio, the stage…)

He is looking within the teaching frame for a place of encounters and exchange that creates a circulatory dialogue. What are the necessities of each individual and their creative process? How to embrace vulnerability within the creative process and how to create a territory for integration and digestion to happen? He works both as a mentor: supporting choreographers with their creative process, and also within group contexts: by facilitating workshops.
